A traditional Chinese Ribbon Dance

As part of our work with Ling, Rowan class took part in a Chinese ribbon dance – a dance form that goes back thousands of years. Traditionally, the dancers whirl long strips of silk through the air to specific steps and leaps.  We are using red ribbons because red was traditionally the colour of happiness and luck.  As you can see, we all had lots of fun mastering the steps and swirls!
